What we publish
Gamemur publishes two kinds of text. The first is game guides: rules, controls, strategy and answers to common questions, written by us and checked against how the game actually behaves. The second is the GTA hub: news and explanations about Grand Theft Auto, with dates and sources.
How we write the game guides
We describe only what the game does. If a game limits mistakes, has three levels or lets you undo moves, the guide says so, with the real numbers. We do not use statistics about players, rankings of games or reviews, because we do not have data that would support them.
How we handle GTA information
Every fact carries a label. Official means the company said it. Reported means the press says so and we have not seen the original. Rumour means it circulates without confirmation. Not announced means nothing has been said about it. Unverified means we could not confirm it, so we do not treat it as true.
Sources
We cite the source and the date next to each claim. Primary sources, such as Rockstar Newswire and the investor material of Take-Two, come first; press coverage is used for context and is named. When a source does not give an exact date, we say so instead of guessing one.
What we do not publish
We do not publish unlabelled rumours, leaked material, maps, missions or statistics that are not confirmed, nor cheats or exploits for online games.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, write to contact@gamemur.com with the page and the source that shows the right information. We correct errors, update the review date of the page and, when the change is important, say what was changed.
Translations
Texts are written in English and Spanish. The other languages are translated automatically and have not been reviewed by native speakers; if you notice a mistake, tell us.
